A Message From Ty Masterson
Fellow Kansans,
Kansas is home. I have spent my entire life in the Sunflower State. I chose to raise my family here for a multitude of reasons: our safe and strong communities, low cost of living, and abundance of opportunities. But our home is failing to deliver on these promises.
In 2024, there were 35 violent crimes every single day in Kansas. Our state ranks below liberal-run states like New York and Illinois for public safety. 60% of 4th graders are below proficiency in math. 72% are below proficiency in reading. We have the 16th highest tax burden in the country.
Since 2000, more than 200,000 people have left Kansas. It’s not difficult to see why: Kansas is not living up to its potential – or its promises.
That’s why I am running for Governor. To Take Back Kansas.
More than twenty years ago, I ran for Andover City Council with one clear mission: give back to the community that has given so much to me. My service is rooted in unwavering core values: honor your word, live your faith, and always put the people you serve first.
As President of the Kansas Senate, I’m proud of what we have done for the people of Kansas. We’ve cut taxes by nearly $2 billion. We’ve shut down wokeness by banning DEI, men in women’s sports, and trans surgeries for minors. And we’ve preserved the integrity of our elections with commonsense measures to protect the ballot box.
But this is just the beginning. And after nearly twenty years in the statehouse, I’ve seen that driving change from the floor of the legislature is not enough. We need a governor who understands the challenges our state faces – and cares enough to fight every single day to solve them.
Kansas is worth fighting for. That’s why I’m running for governor. Together, we can save the great state we choose to call home.
